Living and studying in the city of Cardiff

Bustling student life

You will be based in College’s stunning landmark building, which opened in 2011. The College is in the heart of Cardiff close to the historical buildings of the City Hall and the National Museums and Galleries of Wales. The five-minute walk to the city centre takes you past the magnificent Cardiff Castle.The College is a popular venue in Cardiff offering plenty of opportunities for your work to be seen and heard by the public. The diverse artistic programme ranges from intimate student performances to world-class visiting artists and international festivals. The impressive foyer space with its café bar is a popular meeting place for the people of Cardiff and a versatile performance venue.Backing on to beautiful Bute Park, the College can probably boast the largest gardens of any college in the world! It’s the perfect place to escape for a picnic in the summer, or a lunchtime stroll at any time of year.

Accommodation

Most students live in halls of residence in their first year, and many choose shared houses later on. The Halls are at Severn Point – a fully managed and secure site, which is a short walk from the College. If you choose to live in private rented accommodation the College will be happy to provide you with a list of reputable landlords. The College also has preferred agencies status with two agents in Cardiff. Accommodation is generally within 10-20 minutes’ walking distance of the College.
