Module for students currently studying for a bachelor, master’s or third cycle degree.

Content:

  • Opera coaching
  • Score reading
  • Singing lessons
  • Practice of opera coaching in several projects of the vocal department (participating and accompanying masterclasses, projects, lessons, stage- productions)
  • Construction of a target opera repertoire
  • Phonetics and operatic diction (French, English, German, Italian, Russian)
  • Knowledge of the international operatic world
  • Masterclass
  • Individual follow-up and personalised advice

Full methodology program concerning the preparation of opera professional coaching for pianists. Individual teaching with full recognition of the artistic potential and possibilities of each student in agreement with the international professional context.

  • Masterclass
  • Training for participation in Vocal Competitions
  • Auditions for Swiss and International professional partners
  • Individual follow-up and personalised advice

Full methodology program concerning the preparation of all kind of auditions for Opera Houses, Agencies, Opera Studios, etc. Individual teaching with full recognition of the artistic potential and possibilities of each student in agreement with the international professional context.

Meetings with the recognised personalities of the operatic world and auditions for Swiss and international professional partners.

GEN 2. 20th and 21st- Centuries and Contemporary Vocalities

Full time Module:

Content:

  • Vocal technique and style coaching in contemporary repertoire.
  • Vocal improvisation and contemporary vocalities.
  • Vocal coaching.
  • Masterclass contemporary repertoire (methodology of scores lecture)
  • Contemporary Chamber Music
  • Public performances and discussion of all requirements of the chosen repertoire.

Full methodology programme about the different approaches to contemporary repertoire and contemporary vocalities. A choice of repertoire according to the student’s needs. Individual teaching with full recognition of the artistic potential and possibilities of each student.

OSL 2. Audition training

Period of the EOA module in 2022-2023:

March 15th – June 15th, 2023

Content:

During this module we will focus on audition training and the challenges that comes with this. We will arrange several audition training activities with feedback from a jury.

We will also focus on mental training – how to deal with stress and nervousness, and we will talk about the opera business in general:

  • how to write a professional CV
  • what repertoire to sing
  • how to get an agency
  • career strategy
  • masterclass

We also provide acting classes in how to move and act on stage
