Period of the EOA module in 2023-2024:

  • From 05 to 09-02-2024

Open for:

  • 1, max. 5 vocal students

Content:

This short-term module gives the singers insights in the art of auditioning and producing an audition video.

It consists of daily workshops in which subjects such as choice of repertoire, presentation, projection and artistry of the spoken voice, professional attitude with the pianist and mental preparation are addressed. Each session ends with a simulation of a professional audition and feedback on it.

The other component of this intensive week concerns the camera. Daily workshops address the following subjects:

How to create and project an authentic character while playing for a camera? How to bring subtlety and honesty to one’s performance?

The singers will be introduced to the Stanislasky method through exercises adapted to the operatic repertoire.

On the final day the singers join specialists in a round table on “The singer and marketing in the professional world” followed by the final audition in front of a professional jury.

The online component will provide guidance on technical aspects on filming an audition video oneself.
